The Center for the Future of News (CFN) is a satire website. It is not a news organization, think tank, research center or government body. If a story here made you angry, check the label first: it is almost certainly made up.
What you'll find here
CFN Originals are satire stories written by the CFN Satire Desk. Six new ones are published every Sunday morning, and the full archive stays online. They are fiction; the people, quotes and events in them are invented.
The Fake News Wire on the homepage collects stories from conservative satire publications The Babylon Bee and Genesius Times, checked every hour. Each one links back to the satirist who wrote it.
Mixed in are a few real headlines from Fox News (Faux News), CNN and MSNBC (President Trump's “Fake News”) that read so absurdly they could pass for satire. Those are picked twice a day, stamped “Real headline” in blue, and link to the original story.
Not that Center for the Future of News
CFN is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Arizona State University, the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, the Knight Foundation, or ASU's Knight Center for the Future of News. They study the future of journalism. We make it up.
